Dr Geoffrey Heber, MB BS Hons(UNSW), MBA (Uni Syd) CPSA

Dr. Geoffrey Heber graduated in 1980 with a medical degree from the University of New South Wales. In 1988, with his wife, Dr Deborah Davis, he opened Heber Davis Skin Clinic, one of the first non-surgical cosmetic practices in Australia. He obtained an MBA from the University of Sydney in 1990.

 

Dr Heber has specialized in injectable cosmetic medical treatments and cosmeceutical skin care and treatments. He has presented at many conferences and meetings in Australia and overseas and he has had papers published in peer reviewed medical journals including the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and the Australasian Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. According to the dominant industry suppliers in the field, over numerous years Heber Davis has been one of the largest user of injectable muscle relaxants and among the top 3 users of injectable skin filler products in Australasia.

It was through his cosmetic practice that Dr Heber recognised the need for high performance take-home products, which patients could use themselves to maintain the discernible results they were achieving at the clinic.

In 1991 he founded Doctors' Formula, the first Australian distributor of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) products to the cosmetic medicine and beauty industry. By 1998, determined to improve upon anything available in theinternational market, Dr Heber drew together a powerful team of Australian and international formulators charged with creating potent, effective products in Australia under the Ultraceuticals label.

Today he continues to be passionate about ground-breaking ingredients, technologically advanced delivery systems and high-perfomance techniques. Most important to Dr Heber though, are clinically proven results. He continues as an Executive Director of Ultraceuticals, which has become Australia's leading cosmeceutical product range and a growing force internationally.

Dr Heber is a member of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the Australian Medical Association. He was the founding President of the Cosmetic Physicians Association of Australia (NSW division).

Dr. Deborah Davis B.Sc (ANU), MBBS Hons (Uni Syd), B.A. (Uni Syd) CPSA

Dr Deborah Davis, together with her husband Dr. Geoffrey Heber, founded the Heber Davis Skin Clinic in 1988.

Dr Davis completed a science degree, majoring in Biochemistry, at the Australian National University before graduating with honours in Medicine  from Sydney University in 1979. She explored a variety of medical  interests before accepting a position at Australia's first cosmetic and laser clinic in 1987.

This experience directed Dr Davis  into the field of non-surgical cosmetic medicine and saw her develop specialised skills in the area of sclerotherapy - the treatment of superficial leg veins. Dr Davis is also keenly interested in  laser treatments for wrinkles, acne scarring and the overall maintenance of skin quality and clarity, as well as in the use of long lasting injectable fillers to  add extra glamour to natural beauty or to restore youthful rounded contours to aging faces.

Dr Davis advocates a holistic approach to positive aging in which improving and maintaining your appearance are important contributors, together with attention to nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, lifelong learning and regular exercise. She is a keen runner and yoga practitioner and recently completed an Arts degree at Sydney University majoring in Art History and Theory and Religious Studies.

Dr Davis  is a foundation member of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia. 

Dr Cath Porter MBBS, CPSA

Dr Cath Porter, graduated with a medical degree in 1992. After working in various hospitals and medical disciplines (including A&E, plastic surgery and dermatology) she developed an interest in facial aesthetics and general skin care. Dr Porter then trained with a cosmetic dermatologist in the use of lasers. She has attended various cosmetic and laser conferences both here and in the United States.

Dr Porter is a member of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia and the Australian College of Phlebology. She is highly experienced in the laser treatment of facial capillaries, spider naevi, angiomas, birthmarks and pigmentation, including freckles and age spots. She is skilled in saline sclerotherapy for the treatment of superficial leg veins and in the use of cosmetic non-surgical injectable fillers including volume enhancers, dermal fillers and anti wrinkle injections.

Her main areas of interest are non-surgical skin rejuvenation for sun damaged skin, anti aging, facial aesthetics and treatment of facial acne.

Dr Adina Blaj MB BS

Dr Adina Blaj graduated in medicine in Romania in 1993, following which she worked for one year at the Johannesburg General Hospital, South Africa, before moving to Tasmania, Australia in 1996.

In 2004 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and commenced practice in anti-aging and cosmetic medicine.

Dr Blaj trained in these areas with the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine and the Australasian Academy of Anti-aging Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr Blaj joined Heber Davis after working with one of the largest cosmetic practices in Melbourne. She believes in a holistic approach to appearance medicine and brings with her a vast interest not only in skin rejuvenation treatments and injectable wrinkle treatments but also in balancing the hormonal and nutritional status of her clients in order to maximise their general as well as skin health.

Dr Lorraine Brennan MBBS FRACGP

Dr Brennan graduated from Sydney University in 1987. She worked for many years at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney, with rotations in accident and emergency, intensive care and anaesthetics. Dr Brennan also worked as a General Pactitioner for more than 15 years and completed her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997.

In 2009, Dr Brennan decided to pursue her interest in cosmetic medicine and was invited to join a leading dermatology practice where she received extensive training in the use of anti-wrinkle therapies and facial fillers.

As an experienced medical practitioner with over 20 years' clinical experience she is passionate about skin care and facial rejuvenation as part of a total approach to patient well being. Dr Brennan is known for her gentle touch and attention to detail and she believes that a subtle conservative approach is the key to successful rejuvenation and the enhancement of one's own natural beauty.
