Heber Davis Skin Clinic is an award winning specialist medical practice that focuses on non-surgical skin rejuvenation and cosmetic medicine. Though we continually trial new cosmetic techniques and the latest technologies we offer our clients only those skin treatments that we believe deliver superior results.

Dr Deborah Davis and Dr Geoffrey Heber lead a select team of highly qualified and experienced doctors and nurses. Experience does count. In 2009, for example, our team performed over three thousand successful injectable muscle relaxant treatments for wrinkles, with a complication rate that was 86% better than internationally accepted standards. Our cosmetic physicians are on site to ensure the highest standards of service and safety are maintained at all times.

Centrally located at Broadway, Sydney, Heber Davis Skin Clinic is easily accessed from Sydney City, Pyrmont, Newtown, the inner west, lower north shore and the eastern suburbs. We are also well connected by train and bus to other metropolitan areas, and for those who drive, ample free parking is available just next door at the Broadway Centre. To suit busy schedules we are open from 8.30am on Mondays and Fridays, 'til 7.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and all day on Saturdays.

Skin Rejuvenation

Is your skin looking dull or tired? Are you concerned about sagging skin, sun damage, blotchy pigmentation or broken capillaries? Are wrinkles forming around your eyes and mouth?

If you've answered 'yes' to any of these questions, you're a good candidate for skin rejuvenation treatments that reverse these signs of skin aging and restore the skin to optimum health. Non-surgical rejuvenation treatments are suitable for both men and women of all ages and all skin types and most involve little or no downtime.

Attention to both skin quality and skin contours delivers the best rejuvenation outcomes. "Skin quality" refers to the overall complexion, and includes the texture of the skin, fine and deep wrinkles, acne scars, abnormal pigmentation, redness, rosacea Sydney, and pores. "Skin contours" refers to thin lips, excessive skin folds and jowls, flat or gaunt looking cheeks, sunken eyes and sunken temples.

There are any number of ways to adapt available treatments to individual needs. Our laser and IPL skin treatments are performed by qualified doctors or specialised nurses under medical supervision and our lasers are continually upgraded to ensure we use only state of the art technology to deliver only the safest and most up to date treatments.

Wrinkle Treatments

Options for wrinkle treatments include:

Medications

• Prescription wrinkle creams using forms of Vitamin A. Help reduce fine wrinkles, splotchy pigmentation and skin roughness.
• Non- prescription wrinkle creams. The effectiveness of anti-wrinkle creams depends upon their active ingredients, which include Vitamin A, Vitamin C, alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, and antioxidants. We recommend Ultraceuticals and Restylane skin care products.

Cosmetic treatments:

• A variety of skin-resurfacing techniques, dermal fillers, muscle relaxant injections, and surgical procedures may be used alone or in combination to smooth out wrinkles.
• Microdermabrasion Sydney. Over a course of skin treatments, a rapidly rotating diamond brush and suction buff and polish the surface layer of the skin and encourage new healthy skin growth.
• IPL laser treatments. In ablative (wounding) laser resurfacing, a laser beam vaporizes the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and heats the underlying skin (dermis), to stimulate the growth of new collagen fibers. As the wound heals, new skin forms that's smoother and tighter. Less intense lasers (nonablative lasers) and IPLs, heat the dermis without wounding to encourage new collagen and elastin formation over a course of gentler treatments.
• Chemical peels. Acids of various strengths remove the uppermost layers of the skin. New skin forms that is smoother and less wrinkled.
• Wrinkle injections Sydney
  • Muscle relaxant injections relax the muscles that cause wrinkling, leaving the skin smoother and refreshed. Muscle relaxant injections work well on frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow's-feet at the corners of the eyes.
  • Dermal fillers Sydney. Soft tissue fillers are injected into deeper wrinkles to plump and smooth the skin and to restore youthful facial volume.
• Face-lifting surgically removes excess skin and fat from the lower face and neck whilst tightening the underlying muscles and connective tissue.

Scoupons and Wrinkle Treatments – Why we don’t participate.

An article which appeared in Beauty Biz Magazine July/August 2011 edition, helps explain our position.

Wrinkle treatments involve the use of prescription-only medications and it is against the regulations of our governing medical bodies to sell prescription products prior to a full medical assessment, as to do otherwise may lead to unnecessary or inappropriate use of the medication.

As well, advertising of such products is also strictly controlled. As Dr Gabby Caswell, President of the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australia states: “The advertising of prescription-only medications is regulated by advertising guidelines set by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. It’s against these guidelines to advertise prescription-only(wrinkle treatment) medications such as Botox (Juvederm, Restylane, Voluma, etc), by their trade name.”

At Heber Davis, we endeavour to follow the guidelines set out by our governing bodies and always tailor our treatments to our individual clients’ needs, which means “Scoupons” are not for us!
